As intimated in the Conference with repre-

sentatives of the Bank hid at the Treasury on the 15th

ultimo, the most expeditious method of effecting this

increase will be by the prosmigation of a new supple-

mental Charter, and if the Bank will apply for a mapple-

meatal Charter on the above lines His kajesty will be

advised to grant it.
